Our surfboard kits will get you set up to build a modern Epoxy/EPS surfboard that is light and strong. Building with epoxy is safer for the builder, better for the environment and easier to work with than old style polyester resin. EPS blanks are easy to shape using a bladed electrical planner but can be shaped much more easily with hand tools than polyurethane blanks. No worries with glassing - there are no toxic smells or bad chemicals associated with our Epoxy resins!
Each kit includes all the component parts you need to build a surfboard using your own tools -- including:
- Blank - 1st quality EPS surfboard blank of your choice. PVC or Wood Stringer 1/8"
- Resin - 72+ oz of Epoxy surfboard resin and hardener (more then enough to complete a board) -- water ultra clear in transparency, UV stabilized.
- Fiberglass - 8+ linear yards of 6oz fiberglass, 27" width -- enough for a two layers on the deck and one on the bottom (standard)
- Fins -- thruster fin set, Standard fin boxes (for FCS fins) or Glass-on fins
- Plug -- standard leash plug you set using a hole saw or router (includes cabosil/Fumed Silica to thicken resin for setting plug).
